Description: This is a 6.00" tetraploid flower named after the first person to get Best of Double with a Topguns flower at an accredited show. The base color on Topguns Bette Thomsen is a bright yellow-gold or Yellow - orange, and really stands out in the garden. . It has a red eye and edge and is finished off with a yellow green throat. The flower has ruffled petals and excellent substance. Topguns Bette Thomsen is one of my new generation of dormant picotee daylilies. I have used this flower extensively in both my ufo and wide petal flower programs. It is very pod and pollen fertile, and is producing some very nice seedlings. The flower scape on Topguns Bette Thomsen is around 26", with 3 way branching and 15 buds. It blooms midseason and has rebloomed for me. I think if you are looking for more dormant, strong growing picotees that perform well in the north, you will like this flower |
