Our nursery is open to the general public from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday and most Sunday afternoons. Busses are always welcome and if we know in advance we will provide soft drinks and cookies for group tours. Refreshments are served at all special events .

Helleborus Open House 2nd and 3rd weekend of March
We have been collecting helleborus for many years and starting next spring we will have our first open house for them. As most of you know they are shade loving plants that will tolerate more sun than a hosta. Helleborus are bloom here during late Feburuary through early April. Freezes do not hurt their flowers which come in many colors both single and double. We have several hundred of these plants in our display gardens. They grow about 15 inches tall and multiply much like a peony or hosta, taking several years to reach a mature size.

Peony Festival normally the first Saturday in May
We grow about 15 varieties herbacious of peonies and usually have several varieties of tree peonies. We usually have several varieties of Iris potted at the time also. We sell them in two gallon containers. In Oklahoma City the herbacious peonies are in full bloom the last week of March and the first week of May. Our hostas and other shade plants in the shade gardens are usually looking very good at this time also. There are many perennials in the sun gardens besides Iris and peonies that are in full bloom too. This is a very good time to visit the nursery display gardens. So please find the time to visit the first week or so of May.

Daylily Open House, the first Sat in June
We have our daylily open house before our peak bloom occurs because I am so busy hybridizing and taking pictures. If you want to see the daylilies in full bloom, come the 2nd through the 3rd week of June. Doubles bloom as a general rule later than singles so we still have a lot of bloom on them into the first week of July.

Final Sale of the Year normally comes the last week of June.
We put this sale on again a little early because it can get so hot here in Oklahoma City and water rationing can occur. We mark a lot of items down that will not carry over in ourgreen houses over the winter, or plants we do not want to carry the following year. It is a great time to pick up plants at a discount.
